The questions that come up before every tour.
Answers to the questions guests ask most often before booking. If yours isn't here, send me a message.
Booking & payment
How many people fit on one tour?
Up to four guests, including the front passenger seat. The price is for the group, not per person, so four people pay the same as one.
How is payment handled, and is there a deposit?
A deposit of $100 holds the date, and the balance is settled at pickup. You can also pay in full up front by card if you would rather not think about it on the day. Cancel more than 24 hours before the start time and the deposit is refunded in full.
How do I book?
Send me your date, group size and pickup point through the contact form. I reply with availability and a booking offer with a secure Stripe link for a $100 deposit or the full amount. The offer holds your date for 24 hours, or until 24 hours before the tour if that's sooner.
Can I pay the balance in cash?
Yes. The balance is paid when we meet, in cash or by card through a Stripe link.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
Cancel more than 24 hours before the tour and you get a full refund. Inside 24 hours, or if you don't show up, I keep $100. You can move your date once for free, subject to availability.
Can I book through Viator instead?
Yes. The 4-hour, 6-hour and walking tours are also on Viator. There you book and pay through Viator, under Viator's terms. Booking here directly works with a $100 deposit and my own terms.
We're more than four. Can you take us?
The car seats four guests, so I can't take groups of five or more. Every tour, including the walk, is for one to four guests.
How far ahead should I book?
Book at least 24 hours before the tour, so I can confirm the route and pickup.
Can you build a custom route?
Yes. Tell me what you'd like to see and how much time you have, and I'll send you a route and a price.
Pickup & transfers
Can you pick me up from the cruise port or the airport?
Yes. On the vehicle tours, PortMiami and MIA work as a pickup point, a drop-off point or both, at $50 for each. Your luggage stays locked in the car during the walks. The tour still runs its full length; the fee covers terminal access and waiting, not extra driving.
Where do you pick up?
Hotel and residence pickup is included in South Beach, Miami Beach up to 63rd Street, Downtown, Brickell, Wynwood, the Design District and Little Havana. PortMiami and MIA cost $50 per pickup or drop-off. I don't serve Fort Lauderdale airport.
How will I find you?
I arrive 10 minutes before the start and text you the car details and plate number from the curb. Look for a white Tesla Model 3.
How much luggage fits?
The trunk holds two large suitcases and two carry-ons, and small bags go in the front trunk. Nothing rides in the seats, so tell me your bag count when you book.
On the day
Can the route change on the day?
Yes, and it often does. If a stop is working, we stay longer and the rest of the route absorbs it; if something is closed or crowded, we reorder. The one thing that does not move is the total length.
What happens if it rains?
Miami rain is usually heavy and short. On vehicle tours I move the driving forward and take the walks when it passes; the walking tour pauses under cover. If a named storm, a hurricane or flood watch, or an official road closure makes the tour unsafe, I cancel and you choose a full refund or a new date.
Are tickets and food included?
No, and the standard route has no ticketed venues on it. Coffee, cigars and anything you buy along the way are yours to pay for. Chilled water in the car is included.
How much walking is there?
Each walk lasts 15 to 40 minutes at an easy pace on flat sidewalks, and the car takes you between them. If walking is difficult for anyone in your group, tell me when you book and I’ll swap some walks for drive-bys.
Can we stop to take photos?
This tour makes no stops: you see everything from the car, through the windows and the panoramic glass roof. If you’d like time on foot, the Postcard Miami tour includes walking stops.
Is the tour private?
Yes. It's only your group, and I guide every tour myself.
What language is the tour in?
English or Russian, your choice.
What time should we start?
For the 4- and 6-hour tours, 9 to 10 AM works best: we walk South Beach before the midday heat and cross the causeways ahead of traffic. The daytime drive starts between 7 AM and 3 PM, the night drive between 7 and 11 PM, and the walk between 7 AM and 4 PM.
What if I'm running late?
I wait up to 15 minutes. If you message me that you're running late, the tour starts when you arrive and still ends at the scheduled time. After 15 minutes without a message, it counts as a no-show.
Do we go inside the Versace Mansion or Wynwood Walls?
No. We see both from the outside; the tours don't include tickets.
Can we stop for coffee or lunch?
Yes, on the 4- and 6-hour tours. The stop counts toward the tour time, and food is on you. The 2-hour drives and the walk run without stops.
Do I need to tip?
Tips are up to you and never expected. The price covers the tour.
Families & accessibility
Is a child seat available?
No. There is no child seat in the car, so children aged 5 and under can't join the vehicle tours. The walking tour is open to children aged 5 and up.
Can you take a wheelchair or a guest with limited mobility?
If anyone in your group uses a wheelchair, walker or has limited mobility, tell me before booking and I'll check what works for your tour. A folding wheelchair fits in the trunk, but not together with full cruise or airport luggage.
Can I bring my dog, or eat in the car?
Pets can't join the tours, and I ask guests not to eat or drink in the car. Bottled water is the exception: it's included on vehicle tours.
Walking tour
Is the walk suitable for strollers or limited mobility?
Strollers are fine. The walk covers about a mile on city sidewalks, so it isn’t recommended for wheelchairs or for guests who find longer walks difficult. The 2-hour daytime drive covers Ocean Drive and the Art Deco streets by car instead.
Can I do the walk on a cruise day?
Yes, before you board. Most embarkations start after 12:00 PM, so choose an early start time, and leave time to go back to your hotel for your luggage before heading to the port.
Where does the walk start and end?
It starts at Euclid Avenue and Lincoln Road and ends at Ocean Drive and 11th Street, by the Versace Mansion. It's about a mile, one way, with no pickup or drop-off.
What should I bring?
Comfortable shoes, water and sun protection. The walk runs rain or shine, so bring an umbrella or rain jacket if rain is forecast.
