Little Havana
The center of Cuban Miami: dominoes, cigars and coffee from street windows.
Little Havana grew along Calle Ocho (SW 8th Street) in the 1960s, when Cuban exiles leaving the revolution settled in this working-class neighborhood and made it their own.
Today it is the heart of Cuban Miami: Cuban restaurants and cafes, cigar shops where tobacco is still rolled by hand, domino games in the park, and Latin music spilling out of the bars. Cuban coffee is served the traditional way, through walk-up windows on the street.
