South Pointe Park

The southern tip of Miami Beach, where the bay meets the ocean and the views stretch from the beach to Downtown.

South Pointe sits beside the shipping channel dug in the early 1900s to let large ships reach Miami's port. For decades this end of the beach was a rundown, overlooked corner, until the waterfront was rebuilt into the park you see today.

Now it is a favorite of locals and visitors alike: a long pier over the water, a waterfront promenade, restaurants by the marina, and lawns for picnics and sunset watching, with views across the water to Fisher Island and the Downtown skyline.
